The Budding Artist (January 2008)

One of Hunter's two big presents from us was an easel, the other, a basketball goal! Here he is practicing his artistic talents with crayons.

Hi Mama!

Hmmm, what to draw first?

Hard at work.

New Year's Eve 2007-2008

We went over to one of Hunter's playgroup friends' house to celebrate New Year's. Here Hunter is right before we put him down to sleep for a few hours.

Happy New Year everyone!!!
P.S. I have to say, Hunter did awesome that night. He slept for a few hours in the pack n play and then went right back to sleep in his crib when we got home. Yay, Hunter!

Taking Down Grandmama's Christmas Tree (December 2007)

We had lots of fun taking down Grandmama's Christmas tree the day after Christmas.
Here we are.

Christmas Eve 2007

We spent Christmas with Hunter's maternal grandparents in Winston-Salem. Here we are lounging around on Christmas Eve.

Decorating Our Tree (December 2007)

Once we got home, it was on to the decorating!

I can help with the lights, Daddy!

I can only reach the low ones though!

Oooo, cool lights!

Hanging Hunter's favorite ornaments, the balls! There was a golf ball, tennis ball, football, baseball and soccer ball. Over the course of Christmas, he would always point to those ornaments and say "Ball"!

Choosing a Christmas Tree (December 2007)

Choosing a Christmas tree is always a fun event in our family. This year we went down to a local Catholic church and chose our tree.

That's it, Daddy, that one right there!

Here's our tree Mama!

Hmmm, looks good from this side too!

Mama & Hunter amid the trees!

Leaves at Aunt Meagin's

While in Georgia over Thanksgiving, Hunter thought he'd try out playing in the fall leaves in his Aunt Meagin's front yard. Grandmama makes a great object to throw leaves on!

Mama, this is so fun!

Really getting the hang of this now!

Taking a break. Hunter thinks he's got leaves in his shoe!

He even spent some time in the tree where the leaves hadn't fallen yet!

Bowling with Great-Grandmama (November 2007)

Hunter's maternal great-grandmama turned 94 in October and was honored at her bowling alley for being the oldest bowler in the state of Georgia. Hunter and I went to visit for the occasion and here are some photos from the event. Oh, by the way, she stills bowls 3 times a week and is a member of 2 leagues! Hope I'm still as spry as that when I'm 94!
